Please Help Us Keep This Long-Standing Tradition Alive!

The expenses incurred to keep the Norwegian Dancers going are many. We hope that Dancer alumni and other people interested in all things Norwegian will help us keep the tradition alive. It is our desire to continue dancing in authentic bunads and bunad shoes from Norway to retain the authenticity of our group. A woman's bunad costs several thousand dollars and due to the strenuous use of our bunads, they do not last as long as they would under normal use. Each year the group replaces an entire bunad or parts of a bunad. Each year shoes wear out and new ones need to be purchased. Travel costs and audio/video equipment are a few of the many other expenses.

Needless to say we need your support. The dancers are hard working wonderful young adults and enthusiastic members of a worthwhile organization. For you alumni out there, we hope you will look back on your memories of being a dancer and help us carry on promoting Norwegian culture and making those same memories for the current group of dancers.
